Mudroom and Basement Renovations
FEATURED BASEMENT RENOVATION:
N Ardmore Basement Renovation
My clients dreaded going to their basement to do laundry and their almost tween daughter was in desperate need of a place to hang out with her friends. The goal of this Basement Renovation was to transform their dingy basement with exposed electrical panels, dropped ceilings, and concrete and carpeted flooring into a space that they actually want to hang out in. In the tween hang out area we created a custom wallpaper mural that wraps the walls of the room creating the illusion of a larger space, added storage and of course a mini fridge and snack area. Then in the laundry area we hid the electrical panels behind a sliding door cladded in shiplap that matches the ship lap on the walls enveloping the laundry room and created a folding and hanging station and added a frosted glass pocket door between the hang out area and the laundry area so that we could get the maximum light into both of the spaces.

" Valerie assisted us in designing our new home that used environmentally friendly materials and designed in a way that could easily accommodate us as we grow older. She was easy to work with and listened intently to our needs and thought of creative ways to incorporate them into our home. We had some unique wooden art work which she used on a focal wall in a striking way. Because of our love of antiques, she creatively though of a way to transform an old dresser into the base of a sink in our guest bath and designed a custom display case to display our collectibles and treasures. When someone comes to our home they always comment on the beautiful and unique features. We have a long relationship with Valerie and have utilized her skills on many different types of projects over the years and will continue to use her services in the future.”
